Important Notes About Applying for a Parent Plus Loan
- Dates are important. Choose the current year — 25-26 — and include the start and end dates of 08-25 to 05-26.
- How much to ask for: You will want to either ask for twice what you currently need (to borrow enough for both fall and spring semesters) OR check the box to ask for the maximum (we can discuss later what you need and how much you want to accept).
- When completed, the system will automatically tell you if you are approved ("Your application was successfully submitted.") or if you were denied ("Unfortunately, at this time ...").
If you are approved, email Student Financial Services at sfs@LincolnU.edu to notify us. Please include your students’ ID in your email. If you are approved for the max, we will reach out to find out how much you want to take.
If you are denied, your student will automatically receive an additional $2000 on their loan. Sometimes, that’s all it takes to get their balance paid off or make payments more manageable for a payment plan! Email Student Financial Services at sfs@LincolnU.edu to notify us you were denied. Please include your students’ ID in your email.
