- An ethernet (CAT5 or CAT6) cable to plugin to the wall. These are available at most local area retailers.
- An antivirus application with a current subscription is strongly advised to prevent virus/spyware infection, along with the latest patches to your operating system. - Have your wireless antenna turned on to see the network and connect (usually a button or function key on laptops).

Residence Hall Internet Gaming
The Lincoln University network is protected by a campus wide Firewall. File sharing and P2P applications are not permitted; however, our secured network has been provisioned to allow for online gaming without the need for special requests. Online gaming on campus is only available through a wired connection, as the security for our wireless network is more advanced than most consumer products, you will need to plug your console into the network in order to enjoy an online gaming experience.
