On behalf of everyone in the Lincoln University of Missouri Residential Life Office, I want to welcome you to your new home!
We couldn't be happier that you will be joining our community and look forward to meeting all of you. By living on campus, you have unlocked a door to new and exciting experiences, academic and personal support, and connections to your fellow students that those living off campus simply will not be privileged to. You have the opportunity to meet and live with others from various backgrounds and cultures. You will explore new avenues of thought and grow in the ways you relate to others. By living with us, you are choosing to be an active member in an inclusive community and have the opportunity to help shape it. You can build friendships that will last a lifetime. Our goal is to provide you with a positive, safe, clean, and supportive home away from home.
Each hall on campus has a unique environment all its own and are staffed with Resident Assistants (RA) and Resident Directors (RD) that are there for guidance and support. The RAs are student staff that through programming, help encourage academic success, personal growth, and a connections to the real world. Get to know the RAs on your floor and in your building and feel free to ask them anything. They may not always have the answer but as a peer mentor, they can help guide you towards one. The RD staff are full-time, professional staff members who also live in our halls. Along with the various departments on campus, the RD staff are there to enrich the lives of students through meaningful engagement, counseling, conflict resolution, and provide leadership for the students and student staff. Besides programming, numerous student leadership opportunities are available, including volunteer positions on committees. Lincoln University strongly encourages you to get involved in the residence halls as well as student organizations so that you can make the most of your time here.
We are excited to have you on campus and encourage you to contact us if you have any questions.
Go Blue Tigers!
