Social Work Student Association

The Lincoln University Social Work Student Association (SWSA) is a student association that provides opportunities that prepares social work majors in their progression towards becoming professional social workers. The SWSA encourages students to socialize with others in the field to provide support and cohesion. The SWSA sponsors meetings and events to present more information about the profession and to advocate for opportunities of social change. These learning experiences may include, but are not limited to, symposiums featuring quest speakers, film screenings and field of study specific workshops. The association also promotes interaction with local area professionals allowing students to gain insights on working with people and issues related to the social work profession. The SWSA also sponsors fundraisers each year to support their continued activities and to fund community service projects.
