Lincoln University’s Bachelor of Social Work (BS. SW) Program is dedicated to nurturing future social workers with a socially conscious outlook and a progressive approach grounded in student-centered learning. Using high-impact educational practices, we empower our students to engage in complex social issues and advocate for social, racial, economic, and environmental justice at both local and global levels.

The program equips students for entry-level careers in generalist social work practice and prepares them for graduate education. Grounded in a strong liberal arts foundation and professional training, it emphasizes a person-in-environment perspective and the profession’s dedication to human rights, social justice, and respect for diversity; LU BS. SW nurtures ethical, competent practitioners who are enthusiastic about enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities.
