The Police Department will provide for a safe, secure and enjoyable campus environment to live, study and work within for Lincoln University students, faculty, staff and visitors; and will provide an ethical, people-oriented work environment where our members may enjoy their jobs, utilize their talents, respect one another and grow as individuals. In addition, responsibilities include enforcing Missouri criminal laws, University policies and selected city ordinances, conducting security operations to ensure the real and personal property on the campus and farms are protected at all times, monitor hazardous materials being used on campus and their proper disposal, parking operations and traffic law enforcement are an integral part of Police Department's daily duties. This includes registration of vehicles brought to the campus by faculty/staff, students and visitors and the ticketing of violations of the University Traffic Rules and Regulations. Fire and safety inspections are conducted on a routine basis and assistance to Jefferson City emergency vehicles and crews responding to the campus is provided by the Lincoln University Police Department.
