An alumnus of Lincoln University, class of 1968, Victor B. Pasley was appointed to the Lincoln University Board of Curators in March 2019. He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Lincoln, a master’s degree in education from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, and completed the Professional Management Development program at Harvard Business School in Boston.
After 32 years of leadership and service, he retired in 2010 from Xerox Corp., where he was a member of the executive team. His roles included vice president of sales and marketing for managed services in Rochester, New York; vice president of sales operations for the Mid-Central Customer Business Unit in Indianapolis; region marketing manager, business manager and account general manager for Indiana and Kentucky in Chicago; and various managerial assignments at local, regional and national headquarters.
Before his career with Xerox, he served as an instructor and assistant principal for Ellis Junior High School, Elgin Public Schools, School District U-46, in Elgin, Illinois. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972 in the Republic of South Vietnam.
Pasley’s distinguished service to Lincoln University is reflected in his leadership as president of the Lincoln University Foundation from 2008 to 2011 and his long tenure on the foundation’s board from 2006 to 2019. In addition, he made history as the inaugural president of the Blue Tiger Athletics Club (2016–2017), which has generated more than $500,000 in support of Lincoln University athletics programs and initiatives.
An avid golfer, Pasley is very active in the community. He currently serves on the boards of the Callaway County Historical Society (2020–present) and the George Washington Carver Cultural Center (2021–present), where he initiated the renovation of Carver Grade School in Fulton, Missouri, into senior citizens’ apartments, scheduled to open in fall 2025. He is also a member of the 2nd Missionary Baptist Church and its men’s chorus and has been a lifelong member of the YMCA, serving on boards in Chicago; Rochester, New York; and Indianapolis. He also served on the Junior Achievement of Central Indiana board.
He has been married to his college sweetheart, Pamela Brown, for more than 50 years. They are the proud parents of three children and seven grandchildren.
