Jonathan D. Truesdale, Esq., of Raymore, Missouri, joined the Board of Curators on July 17, 2025. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Johnson C. Smith University, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public & International Affairs and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law. Truesdale is an attorney in private practice who specializes in criminal defense, probate law and personal injury cases in Missouri and Kansas.

A life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Truesdale previously served on the fraternity’s Middle Western Province Board of Directors and is a recipient of the Middle Western Province’s Most Outstanding Alumni Member award. He is a past president of the Midwesterners Club of Greater Kansas City.

Truesdale’s community service includes serving on the advisory board of the North Kansas City virtual reality business OmniLife VR; the board of directors of the Black Archives of Mid-America in Kansas City; and the board of directors of the Mercury Club of Kansas City. He and his wife, physician Shynda F. Miles, are the parents of two children.
