Welcome to Lincoln University! We're thrilled to kick off the new academic year with our ROAR Orientation: Fall Welcome, an exciting series of events designed to help new students transition smoothly into university life. This program begins on Move-In Day and continues until the start of classes, ensuring you feel connected, prepared, and proud to be a part of our community.

We encourage you to complete all tasks before Move-In Day.

Our goals for the ROAR Orientation are to help you:

  • Connect: Meet and bond with fellow new students, forming your first peer group.
  • Navigate: Get familiar with the Lincoln University campus and its resources.
  • Interact: Engage with faculty, staff, and upper-division mentors who are here to support you.
  • Discover Pride: Embrace your new identity as an LU student, find pride in your academic division, and feel at home in your residential college.

Fall Welcome Schedule

ROAR Orientation is mandatory for all new students (first-year and transfer students) as a continuation of their summer registration. Fall Welcome is full of programs to help student explore their new home. Fall Welcome kicks-off with Move-In Day on Wednesday, August 14 and concludes the evening of Sunday,  August 18. Parting Ceremony & Parent Reception

This special ceremony marks the beginning of your college journey as a Blue Tiger. Parents will have the opportunity to symbolically part with their students, sending them off with well wishes.

New Student Convocation

This mandatory ceremony officially introduces new students to Lincoln University. You will meet faculty, staff, fellow students and leadership members. The New Student Convocation is an annual tradition that signifies the start of your academic journey where you will receive the charge to carry forward the ideals and aspirations captured in the "Soldiers' Dream" — education and empowerment for all.

Student Attire for Convocation

  • Men: White dress shirt, black or blue dress slacks.
  • Women: Black or navy dress.
