Lincoln University Expands Academic Support With New Math Tutoring Center

Lincoln University has strengthened its commitment to student success with the launch of the new Math Tutoring Center, expanding the suite of free academic support services available through University College. The Math Tutoring Center joins the Writing Center and Academic Success Center in providing students with comprehensive, accessible learning resources designed to help them excel in the classroom.
The new center, located in Page Library Room 119, offers tutoring for all introductory math courses, including help with homework, test preparation, and mastering challenging concepts. Tutoring is available through both walk-in sessions and online appointments.

The expansion of academic resources reflects Lincoln University’s ongoing mission to support students at every stage of their learning journey, according to associate provost for undergraduate education and dean of the University College, Dr. Saint Rice, Jr.
“With the addition of the Math Tutoring Center, we have expanded our academic support network to ensure every student has access to personalized, high-quality assistance,” Rice said. “These centers — math, writing and academic success — reflect our commitment to empowering students to succeed, persist and achieve their fullest potential.”

Writing Center
- Location: MLK 117
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

- Workshops: Join for weekly workshops on essay mechanics and career writing every Tuesday, 11–11:50 a.m.
The Writing Center offers free, unlimited writing tutoring from trained peer tutors who assist students at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming to polishing a final draft. Students may schedule appointments by email, submit drafts for online review or stop in for walk-in support.
Academic Success Center
- Location: Page Library, Ground Floor
- Hours: Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m.–8 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

The Academic Success Center offers free peer tutoring for most general education courses and a wide range of major classes. Student tutors provide concept review, homework assistance and study-skills support through both drop-in availability and scheduled appointments.
