Lincoln University of Missouri will celebrate commencement for the Class of 2025 on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Organized by schools, all commencement ceremonies will take place in the Robert and Charlene Mitchell Auditorium in Richardson Fine Arts Center (710 E. Dunklin St.) on Lincoln’s campus in Jefferson City, Missouri.
This year’s featured commencement speaker is Dr. Harold L. Martin Sr., chancellor emeritus of North Carolina A&T State University. Martin retired in 2024 after serving 15 years as chancellor, making him the longest-serving leader in the University of North Carolina System at the time. He was the first alumnus to hold the position at N.C. A&T.
During his tenure, the university became the largest historically Black university in the country and one of North Carolina’s top public research institutions. N.C. A&T saw increases in research funding, enrollment and endowment holdings. It also became a leading institution for graduating African American students in STEM, liberal arts, agriculture and journalism. Martin has received numerous honors, including the APLU Peter McPherson Lifetime Achievement Award, the North Carolina Governor’s Award for Public Service and the UNCF Community Impact Award.
Commencement events start a 9 a.m. with a ceremony for the following departments: Department of Humanities and Communication, Department of Science, Technology and Mathematics, Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Liberal Studies.
The commencement for graduates of the School of Business, School of Education, School of Nursing and Department of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences will begin at 1 p.m. The School of Nursing Pinning Ceremony will occur at 4 p.m.
Doors to Richardson Fine Arts Center will open one hour before the start of each ceremony. Parking for graduates will be available at Jason Gym. Public parking will be available at Eliff Hall (709 E. Dunklin) or behind Richardson Fine Arts Center. View campus map and directions.
A live stream will be available for those unable to attend in person.
Attendance at the ceremonies is limited. Each graduate received an email on April 17 from Hometown Ticketing with eight tickets to share with family and friends. Tickets can be printed from the confirmation email or presented digitally on your phone. Read more about preparing for graduation.
