The Missouri Institute on Meaningful Aging (MIMA)

Since 1995, the Paula J. Carter Center on Health and Aging has sponsored the Missouri Institute on Meaningful Aging (MIMA). The institute is a forum for lay leaders from around the state to participate in educational presentations which cover a variety of topics, including chronic disease self-management, strategies for the delivery of healthcare information and programs, and current research and data on health issues impacting older individuals. The lay leaders are encouraged to share this information with their families and in their communities.
