Trademark and Licensing Requirements
Any individual, business, or organization wishing to use Lincoln University’s trademarks, logos, or official verbiage on products must obtain a license before offering those goods for sale.
This requirement applies to all commercial and non-commercial use, including sales to:
- University departments
- Campus organizations
- Student organizations
Licensing is also required for items produced for:
- Premiums or giveaways
- Promotions and advertising
- Fundraising merchandise
- Branded apparel and retail products
Unauthorized use of University marks is prohibited.
Licensing Partner and Application Process
Lincoln University works with Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) to oversee the use of University trademarks and branding on merchandise and promotional goods.

Types of Licenses

- Crafter or small-batch licenses
All applicants must meet University branding standards and trademark policies.
