Advancement Scholarships

Thank you for showing interest in applying for the Institutional Advancement scholarships. It is the desire of our alumni and donors to assist Lincoln University students in meeting financial requirements in order to obtain a college education. Keep an eye on your email for more information! 

Scholarships will be awarded in the summer for the fall semester and in the fall for the spring semester. The deadline to apply for Spring 2024 scholarships is December 31, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.

Atkins and Robinson's Scholarship

 

 

Recipients must be full-time students, a Criminal Justice major, have a 2.0 GPA, complete the FASFA or demonstrate need, be in good standing, and complete a 500-word essay on the impact of Dr. Robert L. "Rob" Robinson Jr. and Dr. Carolyn V. Atkins within Lincoln University.

Dr. Don W. Cook and Mrs. Wilma R. Cook Annual Scholarship

Recipients must be full-time Lincoln students from Marshall, MO or Memphis, TN; Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5, complete the FASFA or demonstrate financial need;  must be in good social standing with the university.

Esther Nall Scholarship

Recipient must be a full-time student, an Education or STEM major, Sophomore, Junior or Senior, from Saint Louis, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale to qualify and must maintain a 2.7 after the award, must have completed the FAFSA or demonstrate financial need, must be in good social standing.

Recipient must be a full-time student, an Education or STEM major, Sophomore, Junior or Senior, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0, must have completed the FAFSA or demonstrate financial need, must be in good social standing.

Recipient must be a freshman or full-time student from East St. Louis, IL area, have at least a 2.5, complete the FASFA or demonstrate financial need and be in good social standing.

Recipient must be a full-time student; must be a Mathematics or Education major specializing in middle school or secondary education with a mathematics or science emphasis; Must complete FAFSA or demonstrate financial need and be in good standing with the university.

Viola M. Smith Young Endowment Scholarship for Undergraduate Students(#227)

Recipient must be a resident of Cole County Missouri, an incoming freshman or an enrolled student majoring in History or Political Science or associated specialty area therein. Recipients must maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA or above and be in good standing with the university and demonstrate leadership qualities.

Recipient must be a resident of Cole County Missouri pursuing a Master's degree in History or an MBA in Public Administration and Policy.  Recipients must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA or above on a 4.0 scale, and be in good standing with the university and demonstrate leadership qualities.

Viola M. Smith Endowment Internship Scholarship(#227)

Recipient must be a resident of Cole County Missouri. Recipients must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale or above, be in good standing with the university and demonstrate leadership qualities. Internships are available for the following courses: HIS 499/591, PAD 590, PSC 499/599.

  • Chairish Scholarship - Chairish is offering a scholarship designed to support students from diverse backgrounds and students who are majoring in design-related fields such as architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and engineering fields. Each year, we will award up to $5,000 in college scholarships to two deserving students. Good luck!
  • CDW Legacy Excellence Program - Through the CDW Legacy Excellence Program (CDW LEP), we will support Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and HBCU student scholars. This support will be realized through investing in technology and providing leadership fellowships, scholarships, experiences, education and career opportunities. All of these factors help build a more diverse, inclusive and equitable workforce at CDW.  
  • Leon Bradley Scholarship - The Leon Bradley Scholarship Program was established to encourage more minorities or persons of color to enter the field of teaching and school leadership. The American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA) believes that it is beneficial for all students to experience diversity among the educators who serve as role models for our students. 
  • JT Legal Group's College Scholarship - The passion and commitment of a student with ambitions and dreams towards the enhancements of society are characteristics that JT Legal Group sincerely acknowledges. Higher education brings opportunities for prosperity, and no obstacle should get in the way of that, especially financial ones. JT Legal Group is looking to award a college scholarship opportunity in the amount of $2,500 to a student who presents a clear understanding of the benefits an attorney provides.
  • Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's scholarship - Several scholarships are provided by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation to African-American students seeking higher education degrees. 
  • Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) - The Omaha chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), in partnership with AIM and major financial support from the Team Software Chad Nourse Scholarship Fund, is offering several scholarships to help further the education of students who are planning to attend or continuing to attend a college, university, community college, or technical school in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, North Dakota, or South Dakota, with the goal of achieving an associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, CyberSecurity or a related field. 
  • Mid-MO AGA Skip Eno Memorial Graduate and Undergraduate Scholarships - To extend scholarship assistance to students enrolling full-time in a college/ university in a four-year program in the State of Missouri with the intent to pursue a degree in a financial management-related field of study.
  • Zonta Club Second Chance Scholarship Program - The Zonta Club of Jefferson City, a member of Zonta International, an international organization of executive women, has established a scholarship program to benefit females who desire to begin or continue a post-high school education or technical training program with the intent of acquiring an education and skills necessary to enter or advance their status in the workplace.
