 A Place for Mom: A Senior Care Innovation Scholarship


A Place for Mom, a leader in the senior living industry that provides senior care referrals to families across the United States, is proud to announce the commencement of their annual $1,000 scholarship for advancement in the field of gerontology. This is a general scholarship which will award the selected applicants with a financial donation. This scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled in an accredited college or university during the academic year.

The Percy S. Lorie/Harry J. Loman Scholarships is sponsored by the Kansas City Chapter of CPCU and is intended to foster insurance education at the college level.  Two scholarships of up to $2,000 each are awarded annually.  You may find more information about the scholarship along with an application at the Kansas City Chapter CPCU Society website.

Applications must be mailed to: Kansas City Chapter, CPCU Society, PO Box 26842, Overland Park, KS 66224-6785 or emailed to: kansascitycpcu@everestkc.net.


The NAACP (locally and nationally) support advancing education.  The National office has a number of scholarships that can be found at the link below.   The scholarships are for a wide range of people and if you have a young college age person in your life please take them to this link and help them complete the application.  Please complete as many as you wish.
