Intramural sports are designed to provide Lincoln University students and employees an opportunity to participate in a variety of competitive sports in a safe, fun, and structured environment.

Primary Intramural League Sports Include

  • Volleyball (co-rec)
  • Flag Football
  • 5 v 5 Basketball
  • Soccer (co-rec)

Plus — Kickball, dodgeball, Ultimate Frisbee, ping pong tournaments, referee/officials clinics and much more! 

To create an IMLeagues account: **Note** IMLeagues offers a live support button in the top right corner of all pages, please use this button if you encounter any difficulties.

  1. Go to www.imleagues.com/LUMO/registration
  2. Enter your information, and use your school email if applicable and submit
  3. You will be sent an activation email,  click the link in the email to login and activate your IMLeagues account.
  4. You should be automatically joined to your school – If not you can search schools by clicking the "Schools" link
  1. Log into your IMLeagues.com account.
  2. Click the Create/Join Team button at the top right of your User Homepage page on IMLeagues.
  3. The current sports will be displayed, click on the sport you wish to join.
  4. Choose the league you wish to play in (Men's, Women's, Co-Rec, Fraternity, etc. )
  5. You can join the sport in one of two ways:

1.      Create a team (For team captains)

a.  Captains can invite members to their team by clicking the "Invite Members" link on the team page. Any invited members must accept the invitation to be joined to your team.

b.  If they've already registered on IMLeagues: search for their name, and invite them

c.  If they haven't yet registered on IMLeagues: scroll down to the "Invite by Email Address" box, and input their email address.

2.      Join a team

a.  Use the Create/Join Team Button at top right of every page

b.  Accepting a request from the captain to join his team

c.  Finding the team and captain name on division/league page and requesting to join

d.  Going to the captain's player card page, viewing his team, and requesting to join

Participation in the Intramural Sports Program is completely voluntary. Individuals participate at their own risk and absolve the Lincoln University of responsibility for any injuries incurred during the activity. All individuals should be in good physical condition. Participants are encouraged to provide their own health insurance and to receive a health examination yearly.

All participants must wear shoes. For outdoor sports, rubber cleated shoes and screw-in cleats will be allowed. Metal cleats of any kind, open heel and/or toe shoes are prohibited. For indoor sports, court shoes must be worn. Any item deemed to be dangerous by Intramural Staff may not be worn during a game.

All types of jewelry (aside from medical bracelets) are prohibited in every sport - no exceptions.

Women's - Teams may consist of female students, faculty, staff, and spouses.

Men's - Teams consist mainly of male students, faculty, staff and spouses. Females may participate in this league.

Fraternity/Sorority – Fraternities and sororities registered with the Dean of Students Office may compete in the Fraternity/Sorority League. Teams may consist of the full-time LU students (minimum 12 credit hours) that are listed on the roster in the LU student organizations office.

Co-Rec - Teams may consist of students, faculty, staff, and spouses. Teams are required to have both male and female participants.

Fees for participation in some intramural sports are charged through IMLeagues and vary by sport. Not all intramural sports require a fee. Please check regarding specific sports.

Team captains and participants are responsible for knowing their team's schedule. In most cases, teams play their regular season contests on the same day throughout the regular season. Scheduling information will be posted on the Lincoln University Recreation and Wellness Department's web page at IM Leagues and at a sport's particular site and emailed to the team coaches.

There will be captains meetings before the start of each season so please be sure to provide a valid email address when signing teams up.
