Quiet Hours
To support an environment conducive to academic success and personal well-being, quiet hours are enforced in all Lincoln University residence halls. During quiet hours, residents are expected to keep noise to a minimum to ensure that it is not audible beyond their immediate room or space. This includes, but is not limited to, voices, music, televisions, and other electronic devices.
Standard Quiet Hours
-
Sunday through Thursday: 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
-
Friday and Saturday: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Final Exam Period
-
Beginning at 9:00 p.m. on the Friday before final exams, 24-hour quiet hours will be in effect and will remain in place through the conclusion of the semester.
Holiday Exceptions
-
On long holiday weekends (e.g., when classes are not in session the following Monday), weekend quiet hours remain in effect through the night before classes resume.
-
Mid-week holidays (e.g., Veterans Day) and break housing periods do not modify the standard weekday quiet hours.
Policy Enforcement
Failure to comply with quiet hours may result in disciplinary action as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.
