Lincoln University’s ROTC program has been named the Army National Guard (ARNG) ROTC Battalion of the Year, a national honor recognizing the program’s performance and commitment to developing future military leaders.
The award is presented by the ARNG Strength Maintenance Division, part of the National Guard Bureau’s ARNG G-1 staff, to the ROTC program with the highest Army National Guard production within its commissioning class. Lincoln University earned the distinction with 100 percent of its commissioning class entering the Army National Guard as Component 2 officers.
The honor was announced during a national event in Houston on April 1. Representatives from Lincoln University’s ROTC battalion were invited to the director’s Strength Maintenance Awards ceremony to receive the award.
“This award is a direct testament to the exceptional leadership Lt. Col. McQuilliams and Ms. Allen have provided to our ROTC program over the past several years,” said Lincoln University President John B. Moseley. “Their dedication, along with the commitment of our cadets, has built a program defined by excellence, discipline and service.”
