Native Fruits Pruning Workshop

Hosted by the Native and Specialty Crops Program (NSCP) and Innovative Small Farm Outreach Program (ISFOP)

Instructors: Sue Bartelotte, Extension Educator (NSCP)
Dr. Nadia Navarrete-Tindall, State Extension Specialist
and Job Green (ISFOP)

Join us at the Glaspers' Finca EcoFarm, where native fruits like wild plums, persimmons, hawthorns, elderberries and hazelnuts, as well as native wildflowers, are grown for food and pollinators.

“Finca” means farm in Spanish and can be highly diversified.

AGENDA

• 8:30 AM: Registration; coffee and snacks will be provided
• 9:00 AM: Introductions and instructions
• 9:30 AM: Participants drive or walk to the Glaspers’ Finca EcoFarm for hands-on practice pruning fruit trees/park
• 11:30 AM: Lunch at the Community Center, including native edible food samples
• 12:30 PM: Evaluations and adjourn
