Lab Inspections - Main Campus & Farms

Lincoln University will conduct in-depth inspections of all laboratories across the main campus and farm locations.

These inspections will go beyond routine walk-throughs to ensure that our research, teaching and farm labs meet best practices for safety and compliance, following standards commonly used by university Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) departments.

What inspectors will be looking for:

• Housekeeping and clutter control: Clear work surfaces and aisles; no food or drinks in labs

• Safety equipment checks: Eyewash stations, spill kits, fire extinguishers and other fire safety measures

• Emergency preparedness: Clear exit routes and accessible safety equipment

The inspections will be conducted by LU’s Hazardous Materials Compliance Officer, Sierra Thomas.
