The Small Farmers Conference at Lincoln University of Missouri, where small farmers, agricultural experts, and community leaders will gather for three days of learning, networking, and growth. This event offers an opportunity to explore the latest in sustainable farming practices, business development, and community action, all tailored to the needs of small-scale farmers.

Small Farmers Conference Schedule
- Noon-2 p.m. – Arrivals and lunch
- 2-4 p.m. – Presentations
- 6 p.m. – Dinner
- 7 p.m. – Presentation by Jason Brown, former St. Louis Rams offensive lineman
- 7 a.m. – Breakfast
- 8 a.m. – 4:40 p.m. – Breakout sessions. Tracks include:
- Agribusiness and agritourism
- Small ruminants, other livestock and pasture management
- Sustainable agriculture, farm planning and conservation practices
- Crop production systems
- 6 p.m. – Dinner
- 7 a.m. – Breakfast
- 8 a.m. – Presentation on mental health and wellbeing

Small Farmer of the Year Award
As we prepare for the conference, remember to prepare your nominations for the Small Farmer of the Year award! This is an excellent opportunity to recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of outstanding small farmers in our community. Nominations are due by September 18, 2026.
