What Is HSSI?

The Health & Security Sciences Institute serves as a collaborative hub for academic programs, workforce development, applied learning and community partnerships focused on improving health, safety and resilience across Missouri and beyond.

HSSI brings together disciplines connected to healthcare, emergency response, security, public administration, technology and community preparedness to provide students with career-focused educational pathways and experiential learning opportunities.

The institute supports Lincoln University's mission as Missouri’s public historically Black land-grant university by creating pathways to high-demand careers while strengthening communities through education, research and service.
