Royal Lyon, a Political Science major at Lincoln University of Missouri, has been named to the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge's 2026 Student Voting Honor Roll, which recognizes student leaders for their nonpartisan civic engagement work on college campuses.

Lyon, a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., was nominated by Elizabeth Dorssom, assistant professor of Political Science in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, for his efforts to boost voter participation among his peers.

According to his nomination, Lyon actively encourages students — particularly those from historically underrepresented communities — to educate themselves on candidates and issues before voting. He also engages with public policy through meetings with state lawmakers.

"Royal's leadership, mentorship, and dedication to civic engagement strongly reflect the values of the ALL IN initiative," Dorssom said.

The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge is a nonpartisan initiative that works with colleges and universities to improve student voter participation across the country.
