Lucianie Pierre - March Student Leader of the Month

The Division of Student Affairs is delighted to celebrate Lucianie Pierre as our March Student Leader of the Month. Lucianie's leadership, dedication, and passion for enhancing the student experience at Lincoln University of Missouri truly embody the spirit of our Blue Tiger community.

About Lucianie

Lucianie R.I. Pierre, known to most as "Lucy" or "Lulu," is Lincoln University's Student Leader of the Month for March. A second-semester freshman from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she is majoring in nursing, serving as Supervisor for the Blue Tiger Den, and running her own thriving business, all while maintaining a 3.4 GPA.

Pierre, who is of Haitian and Puerto Rican descent, is the second youngest of seven siblings. The second in her family to pursue a military career, she credits her older sister as her most important role model. Her sister's example has shaped how Lucianie moves through the world: with motivation, purpose, and a belief that every day is an opportunity to show up fully for the people around her.

That belief led her to nursing. Her passion lies in helping others, and she has carried that instinct into every role she holds on campus. As Supervisor for the Blue Tiger Den, she brings the same care and sense of community to her work that drew her to Lincoln in the first place. Alongside her studies, Pierre has been building her business, Ms. Ivy Lu, for the past year. Balancing entrepreneurship with a full academic load has sharpened her time management and deepened her perseverance.

Leadership Philosophy

At the center of it all is her faith. One verse in particular guides her: Matthew 5:44, "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." It is a principle she returns to when challenges arise, a reminder to lead with compassion and to meet difficulty with resilience rather than resistance.

Lucianie's commitment to nursing, her entrepreneurial drive with Ms. Ivy Lu, her supervisory role at the Blue Tiger Den, and her faith-rooted approach to leadership all reflect these practices and make her a worthy representative of the Lincoln University community.

Recognition Criteria

The Student Government Association Advisors select Student Leaders of the Month based on demonstrated excellence in one or more of the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership:

Model the Way - Leading by example and setting high standards

Inspire a Shared Vision - Creating compelling visions of the future and enrolling others

Challenge the Process - Seeking innovative ways to improve and grow

Enable Others to Act - Fostering collaboration and empowering others

Encourage the Heart - Recognizing contributions and celebrating accomplishments

Lucianie's commitment to nursing, her entrepreneurial drive with Ms. Ivy Lu, her supervisory role at the Blue Tiger Den, and her faith-rooted approach to leadership all reflect these practices and make her a worthy representative of the Lincoln University community.
