Guests gathered at Lincoln University’s annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast on November 7 at Jason Gym.
Lincoln University paid tribute to those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during its annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, Nov. 7, at Jason Gym.
The event brought together students, faculty, staff and community members to recognize the contributions of veterans and active-duty service members. The program featured the Presentation of Colors, National Anthem, invocation, breakfast, and a keynote address by Lt. Col. (Ret.) Kurt Dulle, a Jefferson City native and Lincoln University alumnus.
Dulle, who served 26 years in the U.S. Army and the Missouri Army National Guard, reflected on his experiences in military leadership and shared words of gratitude for fellow service members.
Following Dulle’s remarks, Lincoln University recognized attending veterans and presented a video salute honoring their service.
Dulle, a 1990 graduate of Lincoln University’s Army ROTC program, earned his commission as an armor officer and went on to serve in multiple operational and strategic roles, including deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Noble Eagle, and peacekeeping missions in Bosnia. His military awards include the Legion of Merit and Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
Lincoln University extended special thanks to its Department of Military Science for organizing the event and ensuring a meaningful tribute to local veterans.
