Lincoln University Celebrates 100th Homecoming with Art, Music and Community Fun on Friday

Lincoln University kicks off its 100th Homecoming weekend with art, music, Greek traditions and the grand opening of Slim & Husky’s Pizza.
Lincoln University of Missouri invites alumni, students and community members to celebrate its 100th Homecoming on Friday, October 31, with a day full of events on campus. Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe will make a special appearance at some of the day’s featured festivities, including the Florene Dawkins Art Collection Exhibit II, the Blueprint Family Reunion Block Party and the grand opening of Slim & Husky’s Pizza in the Scruggs University Cafeteria Center.
Slim & Husky’s Grand Opening, Scruggs University Center Cafeteria, 11:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m.
Known for its artisan pizzas made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients, Slim & Husky’s brings flavor, creativity and community spirit to the newly renovated Scruggs University Center cafeteria. Celebrate this exciting addition to campus dining with Blue Tiger pizza specials and giveaways.
Florene Dawkins Art Collection Exhibit, Dorothy E. Steward Art Gallery, Richardson Fine Arts Center, 12-1 p.m.
The exhibit features 138 works donated by alumna Florene Calvin Dawkins ’77, including rare books, manuscripts and original pieces from renowned artists.
Blueprint Family Reunion Block Party, The Quad, 11:30 -2 p.m.
The party moves to The Quad for music, food, games and fellowship for all ages. Highlights include:
- 1:00 PM: Special welcome from state and Jefferson City officials
- 1:30 PM: Blue Tiger Flex Line Dance - everyone is invited to join in!
Greek Serenade, Page Library steps, 2 p.m.
Continue the celebration at the Page Library steps, where Lincoln University's fraternities and sororities perform lively musical tributes and showcase their traditions. The Serenade is a Homecoming favorite and a wonderful opportunity for students, alumni and community members to connect and enjoy the university's Greek life culture.
Community members are encouraged to RSVP online to join the Block Party and Greek Serenade.
