The Lincoln University Archives and Ethnic Studies Center is proud to announce a new exhibit celebrating the rich history of athletics at Lincoln University. The exhibit will be on display from now through November 1 on the main floor of Inman E. Page Library.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the legacy of LU’s athletic programs, dating back to the late 1890s. Organized sports have long been an important part of the college experience, and this exhibit highlights both the University’s historic and modern athletic achievements.
The presentation aims to inform, entertain and educate audiences about the long-standing programs of the LU Athletic Department, as well as sports that have been recently introduced. In addition, the exhibit will showcase venues and sports that were once integral to the LU experience but are no longer active.
The exhibit will be open during regular library hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 12:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
This special showcase offers students, alumni and community members alike the chance to reflect on LU’s athletic tradition and the role extracurricular activities have played in shaping the University’s history.
