Lincoln University of Missouri graduated eight new law enforcement professionals at a commencement ceremony on May 10 in Pawley Theatre in MLK Hall on Lincoln’s campus. The newly minted officers make up the 10th class to complete the program of LU’s Law Enforcement Training Academy (LULETA) in Jefferson City. Launched in early 2021, LULETA is the only one of its kind, the first in the nation at an HBCU.

“I am incredibly proud of our new officers and congratulate them on this significant achievement,” says Lincoln University Chief of Police Gary L. Hill. “Their commitment to serving the community with integrity and dedication is inspiring. I urge them to embrace this responsibility with the same unwavering dedication, knowing that they have the power to make a profound difference in people's lives.”

The new graduates are: Luke Dominic Arterberry from Camden County, Missouri; Devin Tyler Barnes from Butler County, Missouri; Deric Alen Brown from Jefferson City, Missouri; Tracy Marquette Burage Jr. from St. Louis, Missouri; Jacob B Doolittle from Kansas City, Missouri; Demetrius Lashay Eddie Jr. from Tampa, Florida; Vernard Mackey Jr. from Dallas County, Texas; and Samuel Francis Moore from Boston, Massachusetts.
