Lincoln University of Missouri to Celebrate Class of 2024 Commencement May 11

Lincoln University of Missouri will celebrate commencement for the Class of 2024 on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Organized by schools, all commencement ceremonies will take place in the Robert and Charlene Mitchell Auditorium in Richardson Fine Arts Center (710 E. Dunklin St.) on Lincoln’s campus in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Dr. Shaun Harper (see photo) will be the commencement guest speaker. Dr. Harper, a distinguished racial equity expert, is a provost professor at the Rossier School of Education, Marshall School of Business and Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California (USC). He is renowned for his prolific research, influential publications and extensive advocacy, shaping national dialogues on education, equity and social justice.

Commencement events start at 9 a.m. with a ceremony for the following departments: Department of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Department of Humanities and Communication, Department of Science, Technology and Mathematics, Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Liberal Studies.

The commencement for graduates of the School of Business, School of Education and School of Nursing will begin at 1 p.m., and the School of Nursing pinning ceremony will occur at 4 p.m.

Doors to Richardson Fine Arts Center will open one hour before the start of each ceremony. Parking for graduates will be available at Jason Gym. Public parking will be available at Eliff Hall (709 E. Attendance at the ceremonies is limited; each graduate will receive seven tickets to share with family and friends. Lincoln graduates may pick up tickets during graduation rehearsal on Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m. Immediately following the rehearsal, a Senior Toast will occur in the Dorothy E. Steward Art Gallery on the second floor of the Richardson Fine Arts Center. The toast is invite-only, and attendees must RSVP.
