Missouri Court of Appeals Proceedings at Lincoln University

Lincoln University will host the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, offering students, faculty, staff and community members a unique opportunity to observe the judicial system in action.

A three-judge panel consisting of Judge Lisa White Hardwick, Judge Cindy Martin and Judge Gary Witt will hear oral arguments in four cases. Following the proceedings, the judges will discuss the court system, explain the proceedings and answer general questions from the audience.

The Missouri Court of Appeals regularly holds proceedings outside Kansas City to provide the public with opportunities to observe the judicial process and gain a better understanding of the court's role in the justice system.

All students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to attend this educational opportunity to experience Missouri's appellate court system firsthand.
