Our Blood Saves Lives
The Red Cross is working to grow the number of blood donors who are Black to help patients with sickle cell disease and improve health outcomes. For patients with sickle cell disease, blood donors who are Black are almost 3 times more likely to be a match for the blood most commonly needed, compared with donors who are not Black or African American. Donate now to help meet hospital demand and provide the most compatible units for patients with sickle cell disease. Donors can receive a $20 Amazon Gift Card by email for giving blood at Lincoln's Oct. 13th blood drive! Find out more.
