MACED Engagement Series
Lincoln University of Missouri’s Master of Arts in Community and Economic Development (MACED) invites community leaders, government professionals, nonprofit practitioners, and individuals interested in strengthening communities to join our virtual Engagement Series.
This free online series features MACED faculty sharing insights on timely topics related to community development, leadership, civic engagement, economic development, and creating sustainable solutions to community challenges.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from faculty experts, engage in discussion, and explore approaches that can support their professional and community-focused work.
All sessions will be held virtually via Zoom.
On September 21st, Dr. Gary Kowaluk will focus on Housing and Economic and Community Development Law, with an emphasis on legal frameworks and considerations that shape community development efforts.

Dr. Solomon Geleta
Topic: Sustainable and regenerative agriculture, farm profitability, and related economic analysis. Topics may include willingness-to-pay analysis, urban agriculture, agroforestry, agricultural price analysis, farm-level decision-making, and quantitative tools for agricultural and environmental data analysis.
October 28
6:00–7:00 p.m.
Dr. Elizabeth Dorssom
Topic: Fundamentals of Community and Economic Development, providing participants with foundational concepts, strategies, and approaches used in the field.
Participants are welcome to attend multiple sessions to gain exposure to the range of topics, but may also select the individual session that best fits their needs and interests. Each session will also include a brief introduction to Lincoln University's MACED Program as well.
