Topic: 50 Different Ways to Control Parasites in Sheep and Goats

You are invited to the upcoming LU-MRRL Lecture Series event, "50 Different Ways to Control Parasites in Sheep and Goats." This event is scheduled for July 8 from 6:30-8PM at the Art Gallery, Missouri River Regional Library (214 Adams Street, Jefferson City). This talk will feature Dr. Mohan Acharya, a State Extension Specialist from LU's College of Agriculture.

Parasites are the main cause of reduced productivity in sheep and goats in the US, leading to weight loss, poor growth, decreased reproductive success, and death. Historically, dewormers were the choice of parasite control; however, in recent years parasite resistance to dewormer has led to treatment failures. This presentation will cover 50 alternative methods to control parasites if you have encountered treatment failure on your farm.
