Lorenzo Johnston Greene Black History Month Celebration

The 2nd annual Lorenzo Johnston Greene Black History Month Celebration, presented by LU African American & Africana Studies (AAAS) program. Co-hosted by Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. at Lincoln University of Missouri, Alpha Mu Chapter.
David Walton, Associate Professor of History and African American & Africana Studies, will present the keynote address, "Fighting for Freedom: The Military Service of the 62nd and 65th United States Colored Infantry."

Dr. Lorenzo Johnston Greene was a pioneering African American historian whose scholarship reshaped the study of race, labor, and Black history in America. A longtime member of the Lincoln University community, Greene served as a history professor at Lincoln University of Missouri from 1933 to 1972. His teaching, research, and civil rights leadership left an enduring legacy that continues to inspire scholarship and public engagement today.
