LU-MRRL Lecture Series

You are invited to the upcoming LU-MRRL Lecture Series event, "What Exactly Is Business Education?" This event is scheduled for Tuesday, December 9 from 6:30-8 pm at the Art Gallery, Missouri River Regional Library (214 Adams Street, Jefferson City). This talk will feature Dr. Abdul Ajia, Associate Professor of Business Administration and Marketing and Chair of the School of Business at Lincoln University.
Business education isn’t just for CEOs; it’s a practical toolkit for regular life. In plain language, this talk demystifies seven pillars: accounting (what happened), finance (what to do next), marketing (who it’s for), management (getting things done), business administration (the operations glue), decision sciences (simple trade-offs), and data analytics (count what matters). Through everyday examples, household budgets, community events, side gigs, you will see how these ideas save money, time, and stress. We will engage in one quick interactive comparison to show how small calculations reveal big insights, and you will get a one-page handout with mini-checklists to apply right away.
For more information, please visit the MRRL website: https://www.mrrl.org/events/month/2025/12. All lecture series events are free and open to the public. Parking is also free, and it is available adjacent to the library and across the street. For questions, please contact Madeline Matson (matsonm@mrrl.org), Dr. Christine E. Boston (bostonc@lincolnu.edu), or Dr. Hannah Bowling (bowlingh@lincolnu.edu).
