"One Lincoln, Many Stories: Celebrating the Power of Belonging and Legacy" — focused on the unique contribution each person has in LU's history and future.
     
Join us for the 2nd Annual Oratorical Competition, where Lincoln University students showcase their voices, creativity and public speaking skills. Contestants will deliver powerful speeches that inspire, challenge and uplift, reflecting the pride and traditions of Homecoming. This signature event highlights the talent and intellect of our Blue Tigers while celebrating the art of oratory.

APPLICATION & ABSTRACT DEADLINE:
Friday, October 3, 2025 @ 1:00pm

Rules: Contestants are to use their creativity and imagination in writing and presenting orations. Abstracts must not exceed 250 words. Oratorical presentations must be within three to five minutes.

Awards:              
First Place:      $1000.00
Second Place:    $500.00
Third Place:       $250.00

A PDF outlining the Oratorical Presentation Criteria and Grading will be provided via email for all submissions. 

An abstract is a short summary of your completed research. It is intended to describe your work without going into great detail. Abstracts should be self-contained and concise, explaining your work as briefly and clearly as possible.
     
Competition begins at 11:00 AM.
