LU-MRRL Lecture Series

"The Black History Movement: Black History as a Social Movement." This event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 11 from 6:30-8 pm at the Art Gallery, Missouri River Regional Library (214 Adams Street, Jefferson City). This talk will feature Dr. David Walton, Associate Professor of History at Lincoln University of Missouri.
     
This presentation will explore how African American scholars and activists used Black History to fight white supremacy, promote African American advancement and to build communities from the late 1800s - WWII.
