LU-MRRL Lecture Series

You are invited to the upcoming LU-MRRL Lecture Series event, "Lincoln University, the Black Harvard of the Midwest--A Student's Perspective." This event is scheduled for Monday, September 23 from 6:30 - 8 pm at the Art Gallery, Missouri River Regional Library (214 Adams Street, Jefferson City). This talk will feature Mr. Mark Schleer, Director of the Archives & Ethnic Studies Center. The complete talk summary is below:
    
During the 1920s, Lincoln Institute evolved from a training school into a highly regarded university. How did this transformation affect the scholastic and extracurricular activities of its student body? What was the college experience for students at Lincoln University during this time. Mark Schleer, director of the LU Archives & Ethnic Studies Center, will share this proud history with materials from the Center's important collections.
