LU-MRRL Lecture Series
You are invited to the upcoming LU-MRRL Lecture Series event, "My Volunteer Experience in Farm-To-Farm Guatemala Travel."
This event is scheduled for Monday, June 10 from 6:30 - 8 pm at the Art Gallery, Missouri River Regional Library (214 Adams Street, Jefferson City). This talk will feature Dr. Homero Salinas, Assistant Professor and Extension State Specialist, who will be giving a talk on the following:
The Cabras Para La Prosperidad project is a collaboration between F2F (USAID) and Fundacion Mario Lopez Estrad in the remote mountain area of Guatemala. The project sponsors at least 350 households characterized by pregnant women or mothers with children under five years old. Dr. Homero Salinas assistant professor, and Extension state specialist in the small ruminant program, will describe his work as a volunteer in this important program that helps families facing chronic malnutrition.
