Missouri River Regional Library invites you to join two Missouri authors will discuss their new historical fiction titles:
   
The Black Harvest: A Novel of the Civil War by Daren Dean takes readers into a group of bushwhackers who continue to fight in the spirit of stubborn defiance the Show Me state became known for. Dean teaches English at Lincoln University and is the author of several novels. His short fiction has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize three times and shortlisted for the Missouri Author Award.
   
Granger's Crossing, by Mark Tiedemann, is set in the aftermath of the Battle of St. Louis in 1780. The author is a native of St. Louis and a longtime bookseller at Left Bank Books. He is the author of Compass Reach and other speculative fiction titles.
   
This event is free and open to the public. Parking is also free. Parking lots are next to the MRRL (214 Adams Street in downtown Jefferson City), as well as across the street in the overflow lot.
