Women's Resource Center Services & Support
League of Scholars – Freshmen cohort works with first year students to assist with their transition into the Lincoln University community. The program is designed to engage, empower, inspire and support academic achievement through programs and services both inside and outside of the classroom. Students who participate in the League of Scholars program experience programs that support academic achievement, confidence, critical thinking, collaboration and building healthy relationships. Students will participate in programs such as Club wear vs. Class wear, Let's Talk about Sex, Women's Leadership Summit, Conflict Management, Attitudes for Academic Success, Bruch with First Lady Rome and other on and off campus experiences. Some of the young ladies will participate in our peer to peer mentoring program.
Diamond League of Scholars – DLS is the WRC's sophomore cohort that creates shared experiences aimed to empower students to continue to excel. Opportunities to enhance academic achievement, encourage professional preparation, create a sense of belonging, engage with faculty and staff, and to promote wellness and civic responsibilities.
Green Dot -LU Green Dot is dedicated to reducing power-based violence on campus, by training students, faculty, and staff, in bystander intervention strategies.
Sister Circle of Success – SCS is a peer to peer mentoring program that aimed at serving freshman and sophomore students who participated with the Women's Resource Center. The purpose of the program is to promote academic success, provide interpersonal leadership experiences and assist students with developing meaning experiences and relationships with their peers.
Blue Tiger Peer Prevention Educators – BTPE goal is to promote campus community by creating a wellness initiative that educates the community about the importance of mental health, power based violence, sexual health, self-help and drugs and alcohol.
Women in Wellness – WIW is a program that promotes healthy lifestyles. It is a student guided program that host holistic wellness workshops, programs and events.
Women's Leadership Conferences - The annual or semi-annual leadership conferences sponsored by the WRC are geared towards empowering the young women at LU; providing them with the necessary tools to be effective leaders on campus and in their communities.
Blue Tiger Boutique – The boutique is our business professional closet in collaboration with the Male Initiative- Infantry Scholars program. We provide professional attire for male and female students at no cost. Clothing items can be checked out for current jobs, interviews or for daily use.
Cupcakes & Conversations – C&C is an event offered semi-annually to our female students, at the beginning of each semester. Its purpose is to introduce new and returning students to the WRC and to create a safe space and connection with the students.
Crafternoons – Crafts in the afternoon are held bi-monthly in our center. It is an open activity in which students, faculty and staff are welcome to participate in the chosen craft for that week.
