Applying to the Education Preparation Program is a process of meeting eligibility requirements and portfolio building. Near the end of Block II Coursework, most Education Majors are ready to decide which path to take to achieve their career aspirations! Graduates of the Teacher Education program receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.

Applicants must submit all portfolio items (* except background checks) to the Appropriate course appearing on their CANVAS account:

*Background check documentation MUST BE HAND-DELIVERED to the school of Education Database Manager (MLK 440) in a sealed envelope for confidentiality purposes.

All submissions are evaluated at the end of each semester. Successful candidates are notified of official entry into the Education Preparation Program at the end of the semester in which the application is submitted. (after the Summer Semester or After the Winter Break)
Students are given multiple Deadlines during the application period to ensure all items are submitted Before the final deadline date. Applicants are strongly advised to meet intermittently with the School of Education Database Manager (MLK 440) to verify recording of submission and to receive guidence concerning the application process. Please email the Database Manager to schedule a consultation appointment.
