Academic Leadership Council
The Council of Deans serves as a forum for communication and discussion among the Provost and the deans on a broad array of issues, including strategic planning, budget parameters, academic policies and procedures, interdisciplinary and cross-school efforts, faculty recruitment and retention, and fundraising.
The Council meets every first Wednesday of the month.
Academic Directors and Department Heads
The chairs and director meeting is a group organized to act in an advisory role to Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs regarding academic issues. Most particularly, the Council will be consulted in the implementation of policy that affects faculty, departments, as well as be part of the informational loop in the formation of policy. The Council has no authority to form policy. The Council aims to provide a means to share information, contribute to the development of chairs/directors, and generally provide a support group to chairs and directors on campus. In general the Council hopes to be proactive rather than reactive in its efforts to be a voice on campus.
The Council meets every second Wednesday of the month.
