LINCOLN UNIVERSITY AND DOWNTOWN JEFFERSON CITY ON THE PROWL

 

Jefferson City, MO- Lincoln University and the Downtown Jefferson City Association are on the prowl for hometown pride.  Blue Tiger Fest is scheduled for Thursday, August 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Madison Street between High Street and East Capitol Avenue.  The event activities are free and open to the public. 

 

The evening will begin with a welcome from Lincoln University officials, as well as performances by the Lincoln University Marching Musical Storm and the Lincoln University Choir from 6 to 7 p.m.  An hour-long scavenger hunt through downtown Jefferson City starts at 7.  The evening will end with a block party from 8 to 9 p.m.  Cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, ice cream and a bounce house will be available throughout the evening, as well as booths featuring information about Lincoln University organizations.  Community organizations are also invited to host booths.  To secure booth space please contact Heather Robinson by calling 573-681-5291 or via email at robinsonh@lincolnu.edu
