The Inauguration of Dr. Jerald Jones Woolfolk is scheduled for Friday, October 5. The Installation Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. in Richardson Fine Arts Center. The Inaugural Ball is scheduled for 7 p.m. in The LINC. The following are important details regarding the day.
Classes: Classes regularly held during the 9, 10, 11 a.m. and 12 noon hours are to meet in Richardson Fine Arts Center prior to 9:30 a.m. to attend the Installation Ceremony.
Offices: University offices will be closed from 9 a.m. through the close of the Installation Ceremony to allow the entire university family to attend.
Parking: The Richardson Fine Arts Center parking lot (behind Mitchell Hall); the overflow parking lot (between Richardson Fine Arts Center and Martin Luther King Hall), the parking lot between Second Christian Church and Elliff Hall; and Collier-Hatcher-Parks parking lots will be for reserved parking only for the Installation Ceremony.
Shuttle Parking: To accommodate the parking lot closures, trolleys will be available from the the softball field parking lot, the Dickinson Research Center parking lot and The LINC. The trolleys will run from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. and for 1.5 hours following the Installation Ceremony.
Traffic: The 800 block of Chestnut Street and the 700 and 800 blocks of Dunklin Street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. to allow for the Inauguration Processional. The processional will begin at 9:30 a.m. from the Soldiers' Memorial Plaza.
The Ball: Tickets are still available for purchase at the door for the Inaugural Ball. The black-tie event is a scholarship fundraiser for Lincoln University students.
The Installation Cermony will be available via livestream beginning at 9:45 a.m. at https://www.lincolnu.edu/live-stream.
