The Infantry Scholars Program (ISP) was established to assist in increasing Lincoln University's male retention and graduation rates. This initiative will produce skilled and knowledgeable male citizens who understand the importance of communal responsibility and contribute positively to their own and society's economic and social well-being.
The program specifically supports male students from their freshman year through graduation via participation in activities that focus on academic preparation, civic engagement, student self-confidence, and brotherhood. Both student affairs administrators and faculty will develop curriculum and mentoring activities designed to enhance academic performance and ensure success of the males on campus.
The mission of the Infantry Scholars Program (ISP) is to provide its members with the necessary tools and resources to excel academically and socially as well as to honor the legacy of the members of the 62nd and 65th Infantry through scholarship and service. This initiative aims to develop leaders that will be able to compete globally, give back to their communities, and create a positive image of men. The program aims to increase the retention and graduation rates of male students' through the implementation of an intentional and comprehensive Male Initiative.
The Male Initiative at Lincoln University aspires to be a national model for male initiatives recognized for academic achievement, innovation and quality in programming, teaching, learning, and a commitment to service and outreach to the university community and beyond.
