English Major Degrees

The English Program at Lincoln University has myriad goals in all of its degree offerings. We not only provide a well-rounded set of liberal arts skills such as critical thinking, reading, writing, analysis, research, and clear communication, we also teach the field-specific skills of close reading, argumentation, and the art of conference-style presentations and creative publications geared toward gainful employment. All entry-level courses (ENG 101-102) follow Lincoln's General Education requirements. Major and minor courses build from the General Education foundations toward more specific proficiency sets.
