Advancement Scholarships

ATTENTION: The Fall 2021 application will be available from Monday, April 14, 2021 until Friday, May 14, 2021. 

Thank you for showing interest in applying for the Institutional Advancement scholarships. It is the desire of our alumni and donors to assist Lincoln University students in meeting financial requirements in order to obtain a college education.

Scholarships will be awarded in August for the Fall semester and in January for the Spring semester. 

IMPORTANT: Please follow the following steps below to apply for the Fall 2021 scholarships.

1. Review the list of available scholarships.

2. Click on the appropriate link to access the scholarship application.

3. Complete the application. Make sure to enter each scholarship you would like to be considered for on the application.

Atkins and Robinson's Scholarship

 

 

Recipients must be a full-time student, a Criminal Justice major, have a 2.0 GPA, complete the FASFA or demonstrate need, be in good standing, and complete 500 word essay on the impact of Dr. Robert L. "Rob" Robinson Jr. and Dr. Carolyn V. Atkins within Lincoln University.GeneralVaried 12 credit hours per semester 2.0
Dr. Don W. Cook and Mrs. Wilma R. Cook Annual Scholarship

Recipients must be a full-time Lincoln student from Marshall, MO or Memphis, TN; Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5, complete the FASFA or demonstrate financial need;  must be in good social standing with the university.

General1 year 12 credit hours per semester 2.5
Esther Nall Scholarship Recipient must be a full-time student, and Education or STEM major, Sophomore, Junior or Senior, from Staint Louis, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale to qualify and must maintain a 2.7 after award, must have completed the FAFSA or demonstrate financial need, must be in good social standing. General1 Year 12 credit hours per semester 3.0 to apply but must maintain a 2.7

Esther Nall Emergency Scholarship

 

Recipient must be a full-time student, and Education or STEM major, Sophomore, Junior or Senior, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0, must have completed the FAFSA or demonstrate financial need, must be in good social standing. GeneralSemester 12 credit hours per semester 2.5
Mr. Hosea L. Haywood, III Scholarship Recipient must be a freshman or full-time student, from Kansas City, MO public school area, have at least a 2.0, complete the FASFA or demonstrate financial need and be in good social standing. General1 Year 12 credit hours per semester 2.0

Dr. John and Frankie Jackson Scholarship

 

Recipient must be a freshman or full-time student, from East St. Louis, IL area, have at least a 2.5, complete the FASFA or demonstrate financial need and be in good social standing. General1 Year 12 credit hours per semester 2.5 
Martin A. Kennedy Scholarship Recipient must be a full time student; Must be pursuing major in Pre-Med, Pre-Engneering, Social Work, Counseling , or Teaching; Must have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Must complete FAFSA or demonstrate financial need.General1 Year 12 credit hours per semester 2.0

Second Baptist Church Scholarship

 

Recipient must be a full time student at Lincoln University as determined by the University. Have a minimum of a 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Must complete FAFSA to demonstrate financial need.General1 Year 12 credit hours per semester 2.8
Viola M. Smith Young Endowment Scholarship for Undergraduate Students(#227) Recipient must be a resident of Cole County Missouri, incoming freshman or enrolled student majoring in History or Polical Science or associated specialty area therein. Recipients must maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA or above and be in good standing with the university and demonstrate leadership qualities.GeneralRenewable 12 Credit hours per semester 3.25
Viola M. Smith Young Endowment Scholarship for Graduate Students(#227) Recipient must be a resident of Cole County Missouri pursuing a Master's degree in History or an MBA in Public Administration and Policy.  Recipients must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA or above on a 4.0 scale; and be in good standing with the university and demonstrate leadership qualities.GeneralRenewable 12 Credit hours per semester 3.5
Viola M. Smith Endowment Intership Scholarship(#227) Recipient must be a resident of Cole County Missouri.  Recipients must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale or above, be in good standing with the university and demonstrate leadership qualities. Internships are available for the following courses: HIS 499/591, PAD 590, PSC 499/599.One Semester  Enrolled or Out-of-State Internship
