Advancement Scholarships

Thank you for showing interest in attending Lincoln University. It is the desire of our alumni and donors to assist Lincoln University students in meeting financial requirements in order to obtain a college education.

Please click HERE to access the 2020-2021 application for scholarships offered through the Office of Institutional Advancement. The application will be available from May 8, 2020 until June 30, 2020. IMPORTANT: The due date for applications submitted for the Viola M. Smith Endowed Scholarship will be extended to July 16, 2020.

Scholarships will be awarded in August for the Fall semester and in January for the Spring semester.

LU General Scholarship Fund Recipient must be a full time student at Lincoln University as determined by the University. Have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Must complete FAFSA to demonstrate financial need.General1 Year 12 credit hours per semester 2.5
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Fund Must be a student enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and School of Business, must be a Missouri resident, have a 2.0 out of a 4.0 GPA.  Preference given to under-served populations and women.  Recipients of this award will receive an interview for an internship if a position is available and hey meet the minimum requirements of the internshipGeneral1 Year Enrolled with no credit hour requirement 2.0
Viola M. Smith Young Endowment Scholarship for Undergraduate Students(#227) Recipient must be a resident of Cole County Missouri, incoming freshman or enrolled student majoring in History or Polical Science or associated specialty area therin. Recipients must maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA or abaove and be in good standing with the university and demonstrate leadership qualities.GeneralRenewable 12 Credit hours per semester 3.25
Viola M. Smith Young Endowment Scholarship for Graduate Students(#227) Recipient must be a resident of Cole County Missouri pursuing a Master's degree in History or an MBA in Public Administration and Policy.  Recipients must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA or above on a 4.0 scale; and be in good standing with the university and demonstrate leadership qualities.GeneralRenewable 12 Credit hours per semester 3.5
Viola M. Smith Endowment Intership Scholarship(#227) Recipient must be a resident of Cole County Missouri.  Recipients must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale or above, be in good standing with the university and demonstrate leadership qualities. Internships are available for the following courses: HIS 499/591, PAD 590, PSC 499/599One Semester  Enrolled or Out-of-State Internship 3.5
