The Community Day Ice Cream Social runs through 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. In the event of rain, the event will be moved indoors to Memorial Hall.
The free Inaugural Celebration and Gospel Concert will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Dwight T. Reed Stadium. The concert will feature national recording artists Crystal Rucker, Alexia Spight and Adrian Helm. A pep rally and fireworks show will follow the concert. The fireworks will end before 9 p.m. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in Richardson Fine Arts Center-Mitchell Auditorium.
