Lincoln University Offers New Equivalency Exam

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY OFFERS NEW EQUIVALENCY EXAM
HiSET™ replaces GED®
Jefferson City, MO- Lincoln University serves as a testing facility for a new high school equivalency exam. The university now offers the HiSET™ program, which was adopted by the state of Missouri in January 2014. The HiSET will replace the GED®.
The HiSET was developed by Educational Testing Service (ETS). The exam offers more accessibility and affordability to test takers, which includes free test prep and two free retests within a 12 month period. There are five subtests of the HiSET: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
Missouri is currently one of ten states to offer the HiSET. Those wishing to test in Missouri should meet the following requirements: must be a Missouri resident; must be at least 16 years old and have completed at least 16 units toward high school graduation; and must present proper identification on test day such as a valid driver license, U.S. passport or U.S. military ID. Requirements for test takers may vary slightly by state.
